Squad board | Roblox player guide

Build A Soccer Squad squad building

Use OVR as a gate, chemistry as the multiplier, and rerolls as targeted fixes. The goal is a playable Starting XI, not a museum of names.

Stable starters before flex cards

Foundation XI

Replace the weakest active position first, then protect any chemistry cluster that already raises the whole team.

Country, club, league, year, or team links

Chemistry Core

Fill natural positions first; treat country, club, or year ideas as secondary until the current client proves they affect your build.

Rerolls and refreshes

Resource Timing

Spend when one slot blocks 93 OVR, a captain route, or a Cup-ready lineup. Save when the upgrade would stay on the bench.

One completion path

Captain Route

Choose the closest historic or premium route and finish it before starting another long collection project.

Priority board

RankTargetWhy it matters
S105+ OVR Cup Standout CardsThey are the highest reward target to chase after serious Cup progress.
SShop Cards That Fix A Starter SlotShop players matter when they enter the active XI without breaking natural-position chemistry.
A99 OVR Captains And Premium CaptainsStrong long-term rewards for finishing focused squad routes, especially if the captain lands in a weak or important position.
A99 OVR Legends Like Pele, Maradona, And R9The gamepass descriptions confirm these historic stars, and they are powerful centerpieces when they fit your formation and links.
BShiny Or Special VersionsThey are exciting upgrades, but a shiny card still needs position value and chemistry to matter.
BChemistry FillersLower-star cards can be correct picks if they complete multiple links or unlock a captain route.
CUnlinked High-OVR Bench CardsA famous card that does not start, link, or advance a collection route is mostly collection value until the meta changes.

Systems to understand

Build Your Squad

The core loop where player choices become a scored football squad.

Player move: Make every pick answer one question: does this card improve the active XI right now?

Rerolls

Let you retry player options and recover from poor rolls.

Player move: Use the DOUBLE code first, then spend rerolls on positions that block your 93 OVR push.

Refreshes

Let you refresh choices or opportunities when the current set is not useful.

Player move: Refresh when the next good card can finish a link, captain route, or Cup entry threshold.

Quests

Current update notes say quests now give Rerolls and Refreshes.

Player move: Complete quests before a big build session so you are not forced into weak picks.

Cup Mode

Tournament mode for 93+ OVR squads.

Player move: A team barely at 93 OVR may enter, but a better linked team is more likely to turn entry into wins.

Cup Standout Cards

105+ OVR reward path after Cup success.

Player move: Once you can win cups, this becomes the strongest confirmed progression target.

Captain Routes

Collection goals that reward captain cards.

Player move: Finish one route instead of leaving three squads one card short.

Terms that affect decisions

OVR

Overall rating for your squad or card strength. Cup Mode currently requires a 93+ OVR squad to enter.

Tip: Use OVR as a gate, not the whole answer. A higher OVR card that breaks chemistry may not improve your real lineup.

Starting XI

The eleven active players that define your current team strength.

Tip: Upgrade starters before collecting bench names. Bench depth can wait until your Cup-ready squad is stable.

Chemistry

Chemistry changes when players are moved out of their natural positions or forced into a role that does not fit the active XI.

Tip: Fill natural positions before chasing famous names; wrong-position stars can break the blue-link chemistry route.

Reroll

A resource used to roll again when the offered player does not help your build.

Tip: Spend rerolls on weak positions or near-finished captain routes, not on every mildly disappointing card.

Refresh

A resource used to refresh options, useful when chasing a specific improvement or shop-style opportunity.

Tip: Save refreshes for moments where one better option can push your XI over an OVR threshold.

Cup Mode

Tournament mode added in the major update. You need 93+ OVR to join a Cup.

Tip: Treat Cup Mode as the first endgame checkpoint. Enter when your squad is balanced enough to actually win.

Cup Players

High-end standout cards tied to Cup progress. Treat five cup wins as the checkpoint before chasing 105+ OVR Cup standout cards.

Tip: These are priority chase cards once your team can consistently clear cups.

Captains

Special captain rewards tied to completing selected teams or squad routes.

Tip: Pick the route closest to completion first. A guaranteed 99 OVR captain path beats chasing five scattered collections.
